About Culross Drive
Culross Drive is a private community nestled on the North Shore of the Long Island Sound, located in Rocky Point, a township within Brookhaven in Suffolk County, New York.

A unique community, this collection of bungalows was built in the 30’s for summer getaways. Walk the length of Culross Drive and you’ll still see remnants of the original design in many houses: Look for the cinder block foundations and log-cabin exteriors. Culross Drive itself and the beach below are privately owned, although beachgoers are legally allowed to walk through. On clear days, you can see clean across Long Island Sound to Connecticut’s coast and a perfect view of Sleeping Giant Mountain, which resembles a slumbering human figure. Meanwhile, the historic Noah Hallock Homestead at the foot of Culross Drive dates back to 1721. For more on the history of the area, see the Rocky Point Historical Society website.
